Regenelía
The capitol and city.
The city of Trestua Nea, once among the greatest monuments of humankind on Thessia Major, did not survive the Shattering in one piece. Unlike the mountain citadel of Archiva, Trestua Nea's structures were ripped asunder along with the ground they were built upon, and remnants of the great city form large portions of Major Belt 3 in the Archipelago. In the aftermath of the disaster, as the stability of the brane was assessed, administrative functions were instead performed from the remnants of Chelvaní Doisseia, and only after the first Reed constitution was signed did construction begin on a new administrative centre.

Regenelía's location was not purely a matter of Lyrisclensian nostalgia, however. Indeed, the LCC had initially advocated for building in Dis, and as late as 44 tgc continued to favour that city as a continuing governmental centre; its central location would minimise the variation in travel times for outlying settlements and was the most fair. It was the Pesenese engineer Myenga who, drawing upon an immense familiarity with brane mechanics, insisted that the capital be moved further away from the Anomaly. The new city would be the first large-scale construction project in Thet since the Shattering.

To this day, the main attraction in Regenelía is the capitol complex, which was originally designed to accommodate not only the Praesidium and its representatives, but also the entire delegacy for the third major belt and its nine minor companions down to the city district level, accounting for tens of thousands of seats. Many of the chambers were converted into apartments and other living spaces as they fell into disuse during the Interim. The complex continues to be a primarily residential space to this day.

In the Iron era parts of the capitol complex were cleared and repurposed as the palace of the Sidêreos family. Little of this construction remains, however, as the building was restored to its original function and form by the early Gryphons. Parts of Regenelía continue to serve as the locus of the regional government to this day, although the united parliament has been in Mota since the start of the Quill Republic.
