FM paradigms
Infrastructure on the FM network
Like any software platform, the FM network has a relatively simplistic native language that is difficult to use effectively due to its esoteric nature. Moreover, authoritative documentation for the FM network is scant or non-existent, and the information we do have is the product of reverse-engineering existing code. Understandably, most users of the FM network have little awareness of this fundamental machine language, and instead have accessed the FM infrastructure using layers of libraries and macro-programs known generally as paradigms, which are cached within the FM network's memory. Paradigms are identified by their level of internal connectivity, dependencies, and consistent style of authorship. Additionally, they can be classified according to access methods and expressiveness. Most paradigms can access only a very narrow subset of the FM network's abilities.

Ksreskézaian paradigms

These were the first paradigms discovered by non-Expanse researchers, as they were still widely in use by the Lilitai upon first contact by the Lyrisclensiae at Thessia Major. The Ksreskézaian FM method library consists predominantly of tiers of procedures as successive generations of scholars developed tools on an as-needed basis, typically re-using resources from other paradigms that offered similar effects to those desired. As a result the Ksreskézaian catalogue is possibly the most disorganized; many paradigms integrate parts of several antecedents, and the material presented in a single paradigm often appears to be a patchwork composition of multiple older systems.
