Sabta Palace is the residence of the current Empress. The sprawling, ten-kilometre-square complex incorporates the Wheel of the Senate, which is the Empire's parliament. The current Sabta Palace was built on the site of two earlier palatial complexes, Klito XVII's original Dashro House and Alestea I's distinct Iron Tower, both of which were destroyed during the Sarthian Occupation of 8104. Lizi Deztra laid down the plans for Sabta Palace's construction, although her vision would not be fully realized until late in the reign of Kowakida, during the early eleventh millennium.

Dashro House was the original Wanisinese palace. Built in the Illeran style, its architecture emphasized extravagant and intricate curves, and incorporated flying buttresses, pointed arches, and many florally-inspired decorative elements. Glass featured prominently in the metal-and-quartz construction, with many rooms having skylights and immense windows in celebration of Wanisin's human-friendly sunlight, a feature neither Ksreskézo nor Illera exhibited. Dashro House was fragile and required frequent maintenance; indeed, so much care was invested into its upkeep that it outlived many much sturdier buildings from the settlement era that eventually succumbed to moisture and erosion. It was destroyed in 8104 during the siege of the parliament by Moilea, although some of the ancillary structures were later incorporated into Sabta Palace and still need much more regular preventative upkeep than the rest of the modern building.

The Iron Tower was built over the course of 2192–2203 under Alestea I as a citadel for the government to fall back to in the event Survi Dashro came under siege. It failed at this purpose during the rebellion of Moilea some six millennia later, as the aboveground bunker made an easy target for modern munitions.

The Coral Palace is the ancestral castle of the Wemnidi, one of the oldest royal houses. It follows a conservative pyramid style, exhibiting many details of Ksreskézaian architecture not found among later structures, although it was perhaps the template on which the trend of having a singular monolithic central tower was based. It has periodically been used to house the government, such as during the construction of the Bright Hall and by the Koraktidi and Alestidi during the War of Inheritance, and when Dashro House was undergoing large-scale restorations. The houses of Dashro and Geglokidi have also historically resided at the Coral Palace, and today it resides in the hands of the Kazarli Dashron.

The Bright Hall is the residence of the current Minister of Secrets. It was built by Moilea I shortly after the defeat of the Sarthians in 8104, and served as the official seat of parliament and the Empress until Lizi Deztra's new Sabta Palace was sufficiently complete. Contrary to its name, the Bright Hall is a dark and dismal building characterised by its many secret passages and torture chambers. The name comes from how its largest chambers are illuminated, which often have areas of extreme brightness surrounded by absolute shadow, spotlit from above. During Moilea's reign she frequently presided over judicial matters, and naturally the Bright Hall in modern times serves as the Empire's premier courthouse.
