Settlers from the lowlands around the region eventually known as Tévopío discovered that the Dashro desert was not completely dry, and actually concealed some extremely rich and fertile pockets. Walled cities were founded in this area that were difficult to attack due to their geographic isolation. The Dashro city-states eventually colonized and presided over the rest of Ksreskézo for several millennia. This system eventually collapsed due to the gradual desiccation of the region; by as early as 8500, the terrain was completely unfit for agriculture.
