Considered more urgent than simply directing someone with the addressee case (see Lilitika Grammar), but also less demanding and formal, as it means the sentence's construction is less similar to an indicative. Irrealis. The listener is considered to be the person being directed, e.g. "Gil ím!" meaning "move!" It is also typical to see ím used with the sur- prefix, to imply the listener has an obligation to act: Surgis ím, deséú sa resil kin: "If you would just go already, I could sleep."
