raiska, n. Third-shift job, typically selling the products of the second shift. During the Third Economy (when this shift was introduced), it normally occurred during the hours of 16 to 20 in the late afternoon and early evening. The distinction between second and third shift jobs was not enforced, but the convention of artisans dividing their afternoons equally between production and commerce provided predictability for customers. Notably, artisan chefs tended to push their work hours until the twentieth hour, when supper began.
